Meet Karen Ellinwood, PhD
Educator. Writer. Editor. Consultant.
Dr. Ellinwood began professional education in social work and practice law for thirteen years. She has engaged in teaching in bilingual education and conducted research for developing educational software. She worked for nearly a decade designing and conducting educator development programs in medicine as well as curriculum and instructional design for interprofessional health sciences education. Dr. Ellinwood also completed a fiction fellowship at the Writers' Institute at the CUNY Graduate Center. Through Twin Palms Consulting & Publishing, Dr. Ellinwood will offer consulting services in education, editing services, and produce online courses for educators and conduct educator and professional development activities for academic institutions or professional businesses.

The Back Story On Our Name
Twin Palms Consulting & Publishing LLC
My father-in-law, Thomas Rounsevell Ellinwood (1922-1995), was an editor and editorial cartoonist at the Arizona Daily Star, a daily newspaper in Tucson, co-owned by his family and William R. Matthews. His second volume of cartoons about ranch life in the Southwest was published under the imprint, Twin Palms Publishing LLC. We are honoring his writing, editing and artistry by carrying on that name for a new generation.
